July 5, 2012 Attention: Trained Disaster Relief Workers in HBA Region 5 within the Florida Baptist Disaster Relief network is being called out for flood damage work in the areas of Starke and Live Oak, Florida. Our association has been asked to respond specifically to Starke. This call out is for clean-up and recovery trained workers. The work consists of “mud-outs”: tearing out wet drywall, insulation and furniture in houses where the water has finally receded. Workers will be staying at Madison Street Baptist Church in Starke where the church will provide lodging, showers and food. Anyone who is available to respond beginning next week, July 9th is asked to contact the association’s coordinator, Kim Ingram at 386-689-7356 for more information. |
